Dontay finished his two-year career at Weber State in 2022. He played two seasons for the Wildcats after transferring from the University of Florida in 2020, where he played three seasons.

2020-21
Played in 19 games and started 12 games at center for the Wildcats during the season after transferring from Florida...Averaged 8.8 points and 4.1 rebounds per game...Scored in double figures nine times in 19 games...Had a season-high 17 points twice in back-to-back wins over Montana State in February...Finished second in the Big Sky in free throw percentage at 86.7 percent...Was 52 of 60 from the line during the season...Also finished eighth in the conference in blocked shots with 18.

University of Florida
Played three seasons for the Gators where he played in 77 career games...Averaged 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in his career...Also totaled 33 career blocked shots...Saw action in 17 games as a junior in 2019-20.

Played at Oldsmar High School in Oldsmar, Florida...Was highly-recruited as a three-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals and Scout...Helped lead his team to a runner-up finish in the Sunshine Independent Athletic Association state championship.
