Sammi Stuart is entering her fifth season (2022-present) at Weber State. Stuart, a native of Woodruff, Utah, is coming to Ogden with an abundance of experience in the Big Sky Conference and power five levels, as well as a familiarity with volleyball in the state of Utah. Most recently, Stuart was the head coach at Idaho State prior to resigning from her position on May 12, 2022. She spent three years in Pocatello at the helm of the Bengals' program.
During her first season (2022) at Weber State, Stuart helped coach the Wildcats to a 17-12, 11-5 record and made the program's third appearance in the NIVC Tournament.
In her second season (2023) with the Wildcats, Stuart helped lead the 'Cats to a 21-10, 11-5 record, and the program's third Big Sky Tournament Championship and appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
During the 2024 season, Stuart helped coach the Wildcats to a 14-16, 10-6 record. While also making the program's fourth appearance in the NIVC Tournament.
The Wildcats ended the 2025 season with an 18-12, 9-7 record, earning the squad the No. four seed in the Big Sky Tournament.
Before taking over the head coaching position at ISU, Stuart was an assistant coach at Utah State University, where she spent three years. From 2008-2014, Stuart was an assistant coach in the PAC-12 at Arizona State where her efforts were vital in taking the Sun Devils from a conference cellar dweller to a regular in the postseason. Her final three seasons in Tempe all resulted in bids to the NCAA tournament.
Stuart's volleyball coaching career got its start in Provo, Utah, where she worked as the Director of Volleyball Operations for BYU from 2006-2008. The Cougars went to the NCAA tournament on two separate occasions in that time frame, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2007.
During her time in college at Utah State, Stuart was a member of the Aggie basketball team from 2003-2005.
