Robin Pflugrad is in his first season as the Offensive Coordinator at Weber State. Pflugrad joined the Wildcat football program in February 2013.

Pflugrad (Flew-grad) comes to Weber State with extensive college football coaching experience, including several years coaching in the Big Sky. He brings nearly 30 years of coaching experience to the Wildcat program. In addition to serving as offensive coordinator he will also coach the running backs.  

He was the head coach at the University of Montana from 2010-11, guiding the Grizzlies to an 18-7 overall record in two seasons. In 2011 he led the Grizzlies to an 11-3 record and captured the Big Sky Championship. He was named the Big Sky Coach of the Year and led Montana to the semifinals of the FCS Playoffs. Prior to becoming head coach at Montana Pflugrad was an assistant coach with the Grizzlies in 2009, coaching the wide receivers. 

From 2006-08 Pflugrad was an assistant coach at the University of Oregon where he served as the wide receivers coach for the three seasons with the Ducks under head coach Mike Bellotti, a former Weber State assistant coach.

Prior to his stint in his hometown of Eugene, Pflugrad coached the tight ends and served as assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator for five seasons (2001-05) at Washington State. During his stint at WSU the Cougars won 30 games during a three-year stretch, including a Pac-10 title in 2002 and trip to the Rose Bowl. Pflugrad was also the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Arizona State from 1995-2000. In 1996 the Sun Devils were undefeated and Pac-10 champions and also went to the Rose Bowl.

During his career he has been instrumental in the development of numerous quarterbacks and wide receivers who have received All-American honors, along with several all-conference honorees, academic all-conference athletes, and academic All-Americans. He has also coached numerous players who have gone on to play in the NFL or CFL.

Pflugrad began his coaching career at his alma mater, Portland State in 1980. A year later he had a one-year stint at South Eugene High School and then returned to the college ranks for good, spending three more seasons as an assistant at Portland State.

He spent his first stint as an assistant coach at Montana from 1986-1994 where he worked with the quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers. From 1991-94 he was promoted to assistant head coach.

Pflugrad was born Nov. 29, 1957 in Eugene, Ore., and is a 1980 graduate of Portland State with a degree in Business Administration. He was a wide receiver and team captain as a senior in 1979 for the Vikings. He and his wife Marlene have two children, Aaron and Amanda.
