Henry Reed earned All-America honors as a member of the Weber State football program, then went on to a career in the National Football League.

Reed came to Weber State from Detroit, Michigan, and was a standout performer for the Wildcats in 1969 and 1970. Reed, a 6-foot-4, 215-pounder, earned First Team Kodak All-American honors in 1970, as well as All-Big Sky Conference First Team honors.

Reed played in the 1971 East-West Shrine Game in 1971. He was later drafted in the 11^th round of the NFL draft by the New York Giants. Watkins played for the Giants from 1971 to 1974.
