President Ann Millner

President F. Ann Millner will receive the Reed K. Swenson Distinguished Service Award, honoring her for her longtime service to Weber State and Wildcat Athletics as part of the 2023 Hall of Fame Class.
She is the first University President to be inducted into the WSU Athletics Hall of Fame.
Dr. Millner was the 11th president of Weber State University from 2002-12 and worked more than 20 years at the University prior to becoming president. When she began in 2002, she was the first woman to lead a Utah public university.
During her tenure as president, WSU experienced nearly a 40 percent increase in enrollment growth.
The WSU athletics teams excelled to new heights during Millner's time as president. From 2002-12, Weber State captured 30 Big Sky Conference Championships and had numerous individual conference and All-America honors.
Weber State also won the Big Sky Presidents' Cup four times (2003, 2004, 2008, 2009) under her leadership.
Millner made an impact on Weber State students and student-athletes as a long-time professor and a University President and was visible at many Wildcat athletic events.
She also served as a key member of the Big Sky Conference Presidents Council, including time as the chair of the committee. During her presidency, she also represented the Big Sky Conference on the NCAA Division I Board and Executive Committee.
Under her leadership, the WSU campus was renovated and revitalized with several facility upgrades across campus. In addition, nearly every Weber State Athletics facility was upgraded. Weber State reinstated softball, including a brand new softball field, and the volleyball team moved into its new home in the Swenson Gym, during Millner's tenure.
In addition, Stewart Stadium and the Dee Events Center both saw upgrades with a new turf field at the stadium, as well as new video boards installed at both facilities.
Since 2015, Millner has been a member of the Utah State Senate.
