WSU Defensive Back BEAU HADLEY Named Academic all-America

Weber State football defensive back, BEAU HADLEY (6-0, 185 Junior / Taylor, Utah / Fremont HS) has been named FIRST TEAM ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA . The team is sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and by ESPNThe Magazine. In October, Hadley was named to the District 8 All-Academic First Team.
CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine selects 24 players (11 offense, 11 defense, kicker and punter) for the team. There is a University Division and College Division. Members of CoSIDA vote. Hadley was named to the University Division defensive squad.
Hadley carries a perfect 4.00 GPA majoring in Technical Sales. He's a two-time member of the Big Sky Conference football all-academic team as well. This season his athletic prowess was honored as well. Yesterday (Nov. 25), he was named First Team All-Big Sky Conference.
Hadley is the 2008 Weber State defensive leader in total tackles with 111 (54 unassisted) and is tied with two others in the league for the most forced fumbles this season with five. He also has three pass interceptions, two fumble recoveries and one quarterback sack to his credit.
Other players from the state of Utah named to the First Team include Utah kicker Louie Sakoda, David Oswald (OL), Keller Fowler (DB) and Matt Bauman(LB) from Brigham Young. Hadley was the only player from the Big Sky Conference named to the team.
