WSU Drops Big Sky Match to Hornets

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Weber State women's tennis team was swept for the second time in-as-many days on Saturday as it fell to Sacramento State 7-0 at the Rio Del Oro Racquet Club.
The Wildcats were taken down in the doubles competition losing 8-2, 8-0 and 8-1 in the three matches. In singles, the 'Cats did not fare any better, dropping all six matches in straight sets. Ashley Schapper was the lone WSU player to win as many as four games. She was defeated 6-2, 6-2 by Luba Schifris in the No. 3 spot.
The 'Cats will return home for just their second home match of the season. WSU will face Montana State-Billings on Wednesday, Mar. 5 at 8:00 a.m. at the Eagle Ridge Tennis Club in North Salt Lake, Utah.
