'Cats Swept 3-0 by Utah Valley

The Weber State volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Utah Valley Saturday afternoon at the Best Western Canyon Pines Weber State Invitational in Ogden. UVU picked up its first ever win in Ogden with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-19 win that dropped Weber State to 0-2 on the season.
The Wolverines finished with 20 more kills and out hit the 'Cats .312 to .104 in route to the victory. Junior Kayli Broadbent led UVU with 19 kills and hit .720 for the match, the second-best hitting percentage in Utah Valley history.
The Wildcats were led by senior Chelsea Bair who posted nine kills. Jenna Leggat added seven kills and Caitlyn Anderson recorded 11 digs.
Utah Valley never trailed in the first set and hit .448 with 16 kills and just three hitting errors. They hit .314 in the second set.
Weber State will face one more match in their home tournament Saturday night as the 'Cats host Gonzaga at 7:30 p.m. Utah Valley will meet Utah State at 5:00 p.m.
