Trevyn Smith Named Big Sky Co-Offensive Player of the Week

     Weber State running back Trevyn Smith and Northern Arizona University running back, Alex Henderson, have been name Co-Offensive Players of the Week in the Big Sky Conference for Saturday, September 19, 2009
     Smith, a 5-foot-9, 210-pound senior from Springville, Utah, carried the ball 20 times for 177 yards and scored on runs of 20 and 2 yards in No. 13 Weber State's 44-17 conference win over Idaho State. Smith also had seven catches for 31 yards to finish with 208 all-purpose yards. Smith became the school's all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 5,991. It was Smith's 21st  career 100-yard rushing game, and this marks the fourth time he has been named Player of the Week in his four-year career at Weber State.
     Henderson, a 5-10, 210-pound senior from Calabasas, Calif., rushed 32 times for 168 yards and scored three touchdowns in Northern Arizona's 42-39 nonconference victory over Southern Utah. Henderson scored on runs of 3 and 57 yards and recovered his own fumble in the end zone for a score. Henderson also had three catches for 64 yards to finish with 232 all-purpose yards. This is Henderson's second Player of the Week honor.
