Freshman left side hitter Piper Wahlin had 14 kills and sophomore left side hitter Bethany Wray added 13 kills for the Weber State University women's volleyball team, but the Wildcats fell 3-0 (25-22, 29-27, 25-23) to rival Idaho State on Friday night at Swenson Gym.
Wahlin's 14 kills on 31 attacks is her second-highest output of the season and the second time in three matches she has reached double figures in kills. Wray's 12 kills was the 20th time in 28 matches this season that the West Haven, Utah-native has reached double figures.
Lissinna, the Wildcats' lone senior in 2010, had 27 assists, a service ace and tied her season high with 11 digs in her final Swenson Gym appearance.
Sophomore middle blocker Carissa Noble had a career-high tying five blocks and two service aces for Weber State.
All three sets were nail-bitingly tight, with the Wildcats having three chances to take the second set and being tied at 23-all in the third set before falling by a combined seven points.
Weber State fell to 3-25 overall (1-13 Big Sky) with the loss and will finish the season with three road matches next week against Southern Utah, Montana and Montana State.
Friday night's match was Parent's Night, with each of the Wildcat players being introduced with their parents, and Lissinna was honored during the break between the second and third sets.
Also honored was Givens, who is resigning after 18 years as Weber State's head coach. Givens was awarded a framed sweater by Weber State University President F. Ann Millner and Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Amy Crosbie.
Givens also honored his assistant coaches, Melissa Leonard and Joy Nakaishi.
