OGDEN, Utah - Junior guard Damian Lillard scored 27 points to lead all scorers as the Weber State University men's basketball team wrapped up its two-game exhibition season with a 94-78 victory over Western New Mexico on Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center.

Kyle Bullinger had a double-double with 14 points and a team-best 10 rebounds, while Lindsey Hughey had 15 points and Trevor Morris added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats.

Weber State shot 61.5 percent from the field in the first half, cruising out to a 22-point lead after less than eight minutes and led 52-36 at halftime.

Western New Mexico rallied and cut the deficit within 66-60 midway through the second half, but that's as close as the Mustangs would get.

Weber State pushed the lead back out to as much as 18 before settling for the 16-point victory.

The Wildcats finished with a commanding 49-27 advantage on the boards, and hit 11-of-18 attempts from 3-point range.

Weber State officially opens its 2010-11 regular season on Saturday, Nov. 13 when the Wildcats travel to Logan, Utah, to face in-state rival Utah State at 7 p.m.
