FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Freshman Megan Patterson scored a career-high 15 points, leading Weber State to a much-needed 64-61 road win over Northern Arizona at the Walkup Skydome on Thursday night.

Patterson hit 5 of 10 shots from the floor, including 3 of 6 from behind the arc. Her 15 points keyed a 29-9 edge in bench scoring for the Wildcats. She also pulled down a career-high four rebounds.

The game was tight throughout, as the two teams were tied four different times and the lead changed hands on eight occasions.

The Wildcats led 30-25 at the break, but NAU scored the first eight points of the second half to grab a three-point lead. The Lumberjacks pushed that lead to six points -- their largest of the game -- with 14:42 to play.

From there, the Wildcats took charge. Sarah Conner, Caela Mohre and Nicke Parks each scored as WSU went on a 6-0 run to tie the game, and the Wildcats went on a 19-6 run overall over a six minute, 11 second span to post their largest lead at 51-44 with 8:03 to play.

The 'Jacks pulled within a single point with 2:11 left, as Amy Patton hit her fourth three-pointer of the night, but a layup by Caitlin Anderson and two free throws by Conner pushed the lead back to five with 50 seconds left.

Caty Huntington scored to pull NAU within three with 35 seconds to play, and then forced a turnover to give the 'Jacks a chance to tie, but her three-point attempt with seven seconds left missed its mark.

Anderson added 11 points and five rebounds for Weber State, while Conner added 10 points and a game-high seven rebounds. Parks joined Patterson with a career-high as the freshman center scored six points.

Patton led the Lumberjacks with 22 points and seven rebounds, while Vickie Toney added 10 points and Tiffany Amos had 9.

The Wildcats improved to 9-15 overall and 3-8 in the Big Sky with the win, while the Lumberjacks fell to 5-18 overall and 3-7 in the conference.  Weber State will next face Northern Colorado on Saturday night.
