'Cats fall to 'Jacks

Despite shooting 53.5 percent from the field on Thursday night, the Weber State University women's basketball team fell to Northern Arizona 75-63 at the Rolle Activity Center.
Senior forward Caitlin Anderson and junior center Mikell Woodfield each scored 15 points to lead Weber State, while sophomore guard Megan Patterson added 14 points for the Wildcats.
Freshman point guard Justine Johnson had career highs in assists (9) and rebounding (8) for Weber State, which dropped to 1-8 in Big Sky play (5-16 overall).
The Wildcats never led in the contest, but shot 55 percent from the field in the opening half and trailed by just two at the break.
The Lumberjacks shot 56.7 percent from the field in the second half, going on to lead by as many as 15.
The loss wrapped up Weber State's four-game road trip, with the Wildcats set to return home on Saturday to face Eastern Washington at 7 p.m. in the Dee Events Center. The game against the Eagles is part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's PinkZone Initiative in support of breast cancer awareness and research.
