MISSOULA, Mont. -- Junior center Mikell Woodfield scored a career-high 20 points and sophomore guard Megan Patterson added 12 points, but it wasn't enough for the Wildcats on Thursday night.

Shooting just 29 percent from the field in the second half, the Weber State University women's basketball team fell to Montana 67-59 in Big Sky Conference action at Dahlberg Arena.

Woodfield was 8-of-13 from the field and converted four free throws en route to her first career 20 point game. Her previous career-high, which she tied on Saturday at Northern Colorado, was 13.

Patterson, the Big Sky's top 3-point shooter, drained four shots from behind the arc, and had a career-high six rebounds - leading Weber State in that category.

Sophomore forward Amanda Hughes added six points and seven rebounds, while Missoula area-native freshman forward Jordan Pfau had a career-high six points and a career-high five rebounds in her first trip as a Wildcat to Dahlberg.

Weber State raced out the gates early, staking claim to a 24-15 lead in the first half. The Grizzlies battled back to take a 33-32 lead at halftime. The Wildcats briefly regained the lead early in the second half, but Montana gradually pulled away, leading by as much as 15 in the second half before a late WSU rally.

The Wildcats (5-14, 1-6 Big Sky) will remain on the road and face Montana State on Saturday night at Worthington Arena in Bozeman, Mont. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
