POCATELLO, Idaho - With their strongest offensive threat sidelined by injury, the Wildcats battled, but came up short against their arch rivals.

Led by 18 kills from Alydia Fields, Idaho State captured a 25-21, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16 win over the Weber State University women's volleyball team on Friday night at Reed Gym.

Junior Dama Cox led Weber State with eight kills, while freshman Mackenzie Clark added six for the Wildcats, who fell to 0-3 in Big Sky play (0-14 overall).

Junior setter Caitlin Penrod just missed her second double-double of the season, finishing with 24 assists and nine digs. Redshirt freshman Ashley Orr had a team-high four blocks and added five kills.

Junior outside hitter Bethany Wray, Weber State's kills and digs leader this season, missed the match with a mild concussion. Her status is day-to-day.

Idaho State (2-1 Big Sky, 7-6 overall) captured the first two sets to take a 2-0 lead in the match, but Weber State came out of the break strongly and captured their first road set of the season by a 25-21 count.

The Bengals pulled away from a 1-1 tie and never trailed in the fourth set en route to the win.

The Wildcats briefly return home this weekend before traveling on Sunday to Boise, Idaho, to face the Boise State Broncos at 7 p.m. on Monday at Bronco Gym.
