Wildcat volleyball heads to Air Force Invitational

Wildcat volleyball swept at Eastern Washington

The Weber State volleyball team was swept 3-0 at Eastern Washington Thursday night in Cheney, Wash., marking the fifth straight loss for the Wildcats. The Eagles picked up 25-17, 25-15, 25-14 victory.

EWU never trailed in the first set and recorded 14 kills with just four attacking errors. Weber State hit .200 in the first set, but never hit better that .000 the rest of the match.

The Wildcats hit -.080 in the second set with six kills and eight errors. The Eagles dominated the third set with an incredible .833 hitting percentage. Eastern Washington had 15 kills in the third set with no hitting errors. They jumped out to an 11-3 lead and never looked back.

For the match Eastern Washington hit .438 with 41 kills and just nine hitting errors. Weber State hit .042 with 21 kills and 18 errors. The Wildcats also managed just one team block and had five service errors.

The 'Cats were led by Audrey Biggs with a team-high six kills while Audrey  Hunter and Mariah Kahawaii each had four kills. McKay Tarbox had 11 digs.  

With the loss the Wildcats fall to 5-18 overall and 1-8 in Big Sky play. WSU will wrap up the first half of conference play Saturday night at Portland State.
