OGDEN – Weber State never trailed and had six players in double figures in route to a dominating 107-36 win over Saint Katherine College Tuesday night at the Dee Events Center. The 71-point win is the largest victory in school history.

WSU jumped out to an early 16-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game and it was all Wildcats the rest of the way as the 'Cats led by as many as 28 in the first half. St. Katherine shot just 18 percent from the field in the half.

The Wildcats stretched the lead to 50 points early in the second half and led by as many as 74 points in route to the win. WSU shot 71 percent from the field in the second half.

For the game Weber State shot 56 percent from the field and held Saint Katherine to 20 percent shooting. The 'Cats also outrebounded the Firebirds 59-29 and WSU had 23 assists and just eight turnovers.

“We wanted some toughness and execution tonight and we were able to do that tonight,” said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. “We didn't get out of character and still played how we need to throughout the game.”

Six players scored in double figures led by freshman Jeremy Senglin who posted a career-high 23 points to go along with three assists. Senior Kyle Tresnak had 17 points and nine rebounds, while shooting 6-8 from the field and a perfect 5-5 from the free throw line.

Davion Berry added 16 points to go along with eight assists and six rebounds and Richaud Gittens added 13 points and eight rebounds. Kyndahl Hill started the game for the first time and scored a career-high 11 points along with five rebounds and freshman Josh Fuller had a double-double in just his second career game, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

WSU sophomore Joel Bolomboy missed Tuesday's game with a sprained ankle.

Saint Katherine is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association. The school located in Encinitas, Calif., is in its first season of play.

The 36 points allowed is the third fewest points allowed by the Wildcats in school history.

Weber State improves to 2-4 on the season but the test now gets much tougher as the Wildcats hit the road to play at No. 22 UCLA Sunday in Los Angeles, in a game that will be televised on the Pac-12 Network. WSU has just two games remaining before starting Big Sky Conference play.
