OGDEN, Utah – The Weber State women's volleyball fell in three sets for the second straight match on Saturday night, this time against Eastern Washington. The Wildcats were unable to recover from another slow start in the loss, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20.

The loss drops the Wildcats record to 6-18, 2-8 in Big Sky Conference play. The Wildcats fell to 0-10 in three-set matches for the season.

“We seemed to lack a little bit of energy tonight, “WSU head coach Tom Peterson said. “I didn't know if we were nervous but that was key to the match. We just have to play better, we aren't going to change our personnel. We just need to play more consistent in all facets of the game.”

Audrey Biggs once again led the Wildcats with a match-high 15 kills and now has 373 on the season. Samantha Staker added seven kills while Amanda Varley added six kills. Taylor Christensen had another solid night with 29 assists, three digs, and one block. Megan Thompson continued on her impressive Big Sky campaign with four blocks and brought her season total to 109.

McKay Tarbox continues to move up the records book, with her 14 digs she moved up to 8th on the all-time career digs list. Tarbox now has 344 digs on the season and 1,040 in her career.

The Wildcats will continue on their five match road trip next week. They will travel to take on in-state rival Southern Utah and Northern Arizona before stepping out of conference play to take on Grand Canyon.
