OGDEN – The Weber State football team ended its home season with a bang as the Wildcats defeated Northern Colorado 34-21 on a cold day at Stewart Stadium.

Weber State forced five Northern Colorado turnovers and won the turnover margin by three in route to the win. UNC entered the game first in the Big Sky and fourth in the nation in turnover margin.

After Northern Colorado opened the game with a touchdown, Weber State responded with three-straight touchdown passes. Jadrian Clark found Kamana Kaimikaua for two touchdowns in the first quarter, then found Cameron Livingston early in the second quarter to give WSU a 21-7 lead. The 'Cats led 24-14 at halftime and led 31-14 after a Bo Bolen 27-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter and WSU never looked back.

“I'm so happy for our team and for our seniors,” said WSU head coach Jay Hill. “We made some really great plays on both sides of the ball. I'm so excited for our seniors and the plays they made. There were so many good things today and it was a great team effort.”

The Wildcats honored their 10 senior players who were playing their final home games at Stewart Stadium and several seniors made key plays to preserve the win.

Senior running back Bo Bolen had 25 rushes for a season-high 143 yards and one touchdown. Playing in his 44th career game with the Wildcats, Bolen passed 2,000 career rushing yards during Saturday's game, making him the ninth player in school history to reach that milestone. He also became the Big Sky's career leader kickoff returns.

Wide receiver Shaydon Kehano had four receptions for 58 yards and forced a key Northern Colorado fumble in the third quarter that stopped a Bears touchdown.

On the defensive side, senior Dustin Martin had eight tackles with three tackles for loss and forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and blocked a kick. Seniors Deon'tae Florence had four tackles, an interception and a forced fumble.

Clark finished the day 16-of-25 passing for a career-best 251 yards and had three passing touchdowns. Cameron Livingston had five receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown. Kaimikaua had four catches for 73 yards and had his first two receiving touchdowns of the season.

The Wildcats finished the day with 455 yards of total offense, compared to 305 yards of offense by the Bears. The Wildcats rushed for 204 yards and held Northern Colorado to 69 yards rushing. The 34 points scored was the most by Weber State this season.

Weber State also honored former All-American quarterback Jamie Martin at halftime of the game. Martin's jersey was retired by Weber State, making him the first athlete in any sport to have a jersey retired at Weber State.

The win improves Weber State to 2-9 on the season and 2-5 in Big Sky play. The final game of the season will be next Saturday as WSU travels to Pocatello to take on Big Sky rival Idaho State.
