OGDEN - Portland State won for just the second time ever in Ogden as the Vikings picked up a 69-63 win over Weber State Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.

The loss drops Weber State to 8-10 overall and 3-4 in Big Sky play.

PSU went on an early 14-6 lead and led by many as eight points in the first half. The Vikings held a seven-point lead at halftime and led by as many as 11 points early in the second half. Weber State rallied to take its first lead of the half at 53-52 with 7:49 remaining. Portland State then responded with a 6-0 run and the Wildcats never got closer than four points the rest of the way.

For the second-straight game Weber State struggled to shoot the ball as the Wildcats finished the game 22 of 61 for 36 percent shooting.  Portland State shot 50 percent from the field and outrebounded Weber State 37-35. The Wildcats had a season-low five turnovers but were outscored in the paint 28-14.

Jeremy Senglin led Weber State with 20 points, the fourth time he has reached 20 or more this season. He was 5 of 11 from the field and 3 of 4 from 3-point land and was a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line. He also added seven assists and four rebounds.

Junior Chris Golden added 14 points and six rebounds and Joel Bolomboy had six points and 10 rebounds. He also moved into fourth place on the WSU career rebounding list.

PSU is now 2-21 all-time in Ogden with its only other win coming in 2006. The Vikings improve to 10-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play. Braxton Tucker had a career-high 21 points to lead the Vikings.

Weber State is back home Saturday night as the Wildcats welcome first-place Sacramento State to the Dee Events Center. The Hornets are 6-1 in conference play and are on top of the league standings.
