Senglin leads Wildcats to win over Utah Valley

OGDEN - Jeremy Senglin scored 27 points and made six 3-pointers to lead Weber State to an exciting 93-85 win over Utah Valley Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.
The Wildcats led by three at halftime and never trailed in the second half. The 'Cats led 68-66 with 7:43 to play before a 14-3 run over the next three minutes gave Weber State a 13-point lead. Senglin scored eight of the 14 points in that stretch. UVU cut the lead to six points with under a minute to play but the 'Cats held on for the win.
Weber State shot 58 percent from the field with Utah Valley shooting 51 percent. The Wildcats knocked down 12 3-pointers and held the Wolverines to seven 3-pointers. WSU also outrebounded UVU 31-29.
Four Wildcats scored in double figures led by Senglin with 27 points. He was 9 for 15 from the field, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds three assists and three steals. It was the fourth time this season he has made six 3-pointers in a game.

Kyndahl Hill added 14 points and was a perfect 8 of 8 from the free throw line to go along with a team-high seven rebounds. Zach Braxton added 13 points and was a perfect 6 of 6 from the field, and Dusty Baker had 12 points off the bench.
Weber State improved to 4-6 on the season with the win and a perfect 6-0 all-time against Utah Valley in Ogden. The Wildcats have scored at least 80 points in all four wins this season and Weber State is now 24-0 under head coach Randy Rahe when scoring at least 90 points in a game.
The Wildcats hit the road for their next four games starting Wednesday night in Logan against Utah State. The game with the Aggies will be the final non-conference game of the season.
