OGDEN - Denver's Joe Rosga knocked down a jumper with 2.8 seconds left to give the Pioneers a 57-55 win over Weber State Saturday night at the Dee Events Center.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 14-4 lead before a 15-2 run by Denver gave the Pioneers a 19-16 lead with nine minutes left in the first half. The game was tied at 32 at halftime and the game was tied seven times in the second half. WSU took a 55-53 lead with 2:55 to play but did not score again.

The loss snapped Weber State's 14-game home winning streak.

Denver shot 48 percent from the field, while the Wildcats shot just 30 percent, including 26 percent in the second half. The 'Cats were also 6 of 27 from 3-point range. DU outrebouned the Wildcats 38-30 and scored 28 points in the paint, compared to 14 for Weber State.

"We didn't have the edge we needed tonight," said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. "We were just a bit off and we missed a bunch of shots and didn't execute as well. This is a tough one to take but we have to learn from it and get better because of it."

Senglin led the Wildcats with 15 points on 5 of 19 shooting. Senglin also moved past former teammate Joel Bolomboy into seventh in the WSU career scoring list. Kyndahl Hill had 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for WSU's first double-double of the season.

C.J. Bobbitt led Denver (3-4) with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Weber State (2-5) will head to Provo to play BYU Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Marriott Center. The game will be televised on BYUtv.
