OGDEN - Former Weber State All-American and NFL player David Hale will be joining Wildcat football radio broadcasts. Hale will serve as the color commentator and will team with Steve Klauke in the booth for all Weber State football radio broadcasts on 1430 KLO.
Hale, a native of Plain City, Utah and graduate of Fremont High School, played four seasons of football at Weber State from 2004-07, playing for Jerry Graybeal and Ron McBride. He followed the footsteps of his three older brothers, Scott, Ben and Mike, who all played football at Weber State. He was a two-time Big Sky All-Conference First Team selection as an offensive lineman and was also a two-time All-American selection.
Following his Weber State career, Hale was drafted in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He played in 18 career games in his three seasons with the Ravens before injuries cut his career short.
He also spent the 2012 season as a graduate assistant coach with the Wildcats, assisting with the offensive line. Hale is married to former Weber State volleyball player Shelby Walford and the couple has two children.
