OGDEN - After a big road win Saturday, Weber State football continues its climb in the national rankings. The Wildcats moved up to 12th in the nation in the FCS Coaches poll and 14th in the FCS STATS poll. Weber State is the highest ranked team in the Big Sky Conference.

Coach Jay Hill's Wildcats are 7-2 overall and 5-1 in Big Sky play following Saturday's 28-20 win at No. 11 Eastern Washington. WSU has won three-straight games and is tied for first in the Big Sky with Southern Utah and Northern Arizona with two games remaining.

The Wildcats are the highest of four Big Sky teams in the national rankings. Southern Utah is 15th in the STATS poll and 19th in the coaches poll. Eastern Washington fell to 19th in STATS and 21st in the coaches poll. Northern Arizona is 24th in both polls.

This is Weber State's highest ranking since the 2009 season. It also marks the first time the Wildcats have been the highest ranked team from the Big Sky in a national poll since 1998.

WSU is back on the road on Saturday at Portland State before closing out the regular season Nov. 18 with a home game against Idaho State.
