Wildcats set to host first home matches of season

•  The Weber State volleyball team continues with the 2017 season with it's first home games of the season on Tuesday against Utah State and Wednesday against Utah Valley.
•  The Wildcats are currently 1-8 on the season and on a four match losing streak.
•  Head Coach Jeremiah Larsen is in his third season leading the Wildcats and brought back his two assistant coaches Kayla Morgan and David Gannon.

GNEITING NAMED TO ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
Sophomore Megan Gneiting has been a strong asset for the Wildcats this season and did not disappoint in the UNLV Challenge as she was named to the All-Tournament Team. Â Gneiting, Â put up impressive efforts both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. She accumulated 22 kills from 78 attacks with eight errors for a .179 percentage. Defensively she had 12 digs averaging one per set. She also recorded 11 blocks.

•  SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 58th meeting between Weber State and Utah State. The Aggies lead the series 36-21 Â and the Wildcats are currently on a six match losing streak. The Wildcats are 10-14 Â when taking on the Aggies at home and are looking to pick up their first win in Ogden since, 1996.

The Wildcats welcome four newcomers this year with two transfers in Gracey Tuifua and Halle Evans. There are two new freshman on this years squad with Ashlyn Power and Kennedy Redd.
