OGDEN - Weber State volleyball is excited to announce two new Wildcats to for the 2018 season. Hannah Farr and Samantha Filiaga will be joining WSU early for the exhibition spring season before the regular season in the fall.

"I am excited that these two players decided to come to Weber State in the spring," head coach Jeremiah Larsen said. "Attending in the spring is a wonderful way for them to get comfortable with playing in our gym, and it will give them more opportunities to make changes. These things will help them be more ready for our 2018 season, and help them provide a larger impact in what we are working towards for the 2018 season."

Hannah Farr – Libero – 5-4
Farr is a 5-4 libero from Morgan, Utah. Farr attended Morgan High School was she helped her team to three consecutive 3A state championships in 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2016, she was awarded the 3A Defensive MVP and earned First Team All-State Honors.

"Hannah is a winner," Larsen said. "Plain and simple. She knows what it takes to compete at the highest level, and help her team compete for championships from her time in club and at Morgan High School. She will have large shoes to fill with the vacancy of Thamires and Jesse but her drive and work ethic will help her become the libero this program needs to compete for championships."

"Sam is a really athletic player and will help bring depth to a shallow position from a year ago," Larsen said. "She moves really well laterally, and is a good offensive threat. She has great work ethic and an incredible mindset. As she learns our blocking system I know she will challenge Aubrey and Hannah immediately. We look forward to her contributions in a long line of solid middle blockers at Weber State."
