Wildcats host #3 EWU for Homecoming game Saturday

THE GAME

• Weber State returns home for a showdown against third-ranked Eastern Washington Saturday for Homecoming.  

• Saturday's game will kickoff at 4:00 p.m. from Stewart Stadium. 

• The game will be televised on ELEVEN Sports Network (DirecTV 623) and will also be streamed online for free on Pluto TV 235 and WatchBigSky.com with Neil Harwell and Jayice Pearson on the call. 

• Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal on the call. 

• Live stats will be at WeberStateSports.com. 

OPENING DRIVE 

• Weber State is 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in Big Sky play. The Wildcats saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a 28-24 loss at Northern Arizona last Saturday. 

• The Wildcats are now ranked 13th in the nation in the latest STATS FCS and AFCA Coaches polls. 

• Eastern Washington is 5-1 overall and 3-0 in Big Sky Conference play.

• The Eagles are ranked third in the country in the coaches poll and fourth in the STATS poll.  EWU was the preseason favorite to win the Big Sky title. 

• Weber State sophomore Rashid Shaheed leads the nation in kickoff return average. 

• Head coach Jay Hill is in his fifth season as head coach of the Wildcats. He has a combined record of 29-25 overall and is 21-13 in Big Sky games.  

• The Eagles are coached by Aaron Best who is in his second season as head coach. 

• Eastern Washington holds a 19-15 all-time lead over Weber State. The Wildcats picked up a win in Cheney last season, which snapped a five-game losing streak to the Eagles.  

• This is Eastern Washington's first game in Ogden since 2012. WSU holds an 8-7 lead over the Eagles at Stewart Stadium, but Eastern Washington has won the last three games. WSU's last win in Ogden was in 2006.
