No. 3 Weber State heads to Southern Utah Saturday

THE GAME

• Riding a four-game winning streak, the Weber State football team hits the road for an in-state clash with Southern Utah as part of the Beehive Bowl on Saturday in Cedar City.  

• Saturday's game will kickoff at 5 p.m. from the Eccles Coliseum. 

• The game will be televised throughout on ELEVEN Sports with Neil Harwell and Jayice Person on the call. It will also be streamed online for free on Pluto TV channel 236.

• Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal on the call. 

• Live stats will be at WeberStateSports.com. 

OPENING DRIVE 

• Weber State improved to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in Big Sky Conference play following Saturday's 26-14 win over Sacramento State, the fourth-straight win for the Wildcats. 

• The Wildcats moved up to third in the nation in this week's STATS FCS poll, which is the highest ranking in school history. 

• Weber State has won four straight games and has reached seven or more wins in three straight seasons for the first time ever. 

• Southern Utah is 1-8 on the season and 1-5 in Big Sky play. The Thunderbirds have lost their last three games heading into Saturday. 

• Head coach Jay Hill is in his fifth season as head coach of the Wildcats. He has a combined record of 33-25 overall and is 25-13 in Big Sky games. Coach Hill has led the Wildcats to wins in 14 of their last 16 Big Sky games.   

• SUU is coached by Demario Warren who is in his third season with the Thunderbirds. 

• The Wildcats have won eight of their last nine games on the road against Big Sky Conference opponents. 

• Weber State holds a 17-8 all-time series lead over Southern Utah. The Wildcats beat SUU 30-13 in Cedar City last season in the second round of the FCS Playoffs. 

• The road team has won the last four games and seven of the last eight games played in the series. Weber State is 6-2 all-time in Cedar City.
