Wildcats fall 4-3 to Hornets

Weber State women's tennis had a rough go Saturday morning as they narrowly fell 4-3 to Sacramento State.
"This was a hard loss to take today," said head coach Mark Roberts. "We started incredibly well winning the doubles point and then didn't play very well in some of our singles spots. Good news is we get to try it all again tomorrow against Air Force."
Weber State started things off by taking the doubles point. Pei_Hsuan Kuo and Caitlin Herb started with a win in the No. 1 doubles spot. The Wildcat duo defeated Maria Gonzalez and Carolina Chernyetsky 6-1.
To follow that up, Dominique Beauvais and Sara Parker defeated Ana Loaiza 6-1 in the No. 2 doubles spot.
In singles action only two Wildcats picked up wins. Herb defeated Gonzalez 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot and Sara Parker defeated Sofi Wicker 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 3 spot.
Weber State is now 10-10 overall on the season and 5-4 in Big Sky Conference play. WSU has their final home game of the season tomorrow against Air Force.
