Wildcats top Warriors in Roseville

Roseville, CA — The Weber State Wildcats women's tennis team defeated Jessup University 7-0 in Roseville, CA, to open their California road trip.
In doubles, the 'Cats swept the Warriors, with Jessica Hill and Aleks Bozinovska winning 6-2 in the #1 position and Naomi and Savannah Johnson winning 6-0 in the #2 position.
Alicia Celorio and Paulina Aleksandrowicz took their match by default on Court #3, helping to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
In singles, the Wildcats swept all 4 matches that were played out in straight sets. Celorio got the 'Cats going, sweeping her opponent 6-0, 6-0, and Maggie Song defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-1.
Savannah Johnson and Naomi Johnson closed out the shutout for the Wildcats, taking their singles matches 6-3, 6-1, and 6-0, 6-3, respectively.
The 'Cats will continue their West Coast road trip as they take on the Sacramento State Hornets in Sacramento, California, on Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 (MT). The Hornets enter Saturday with a 12-5 mark on the season, and a 4-1 start in Big Sky play.
