OGDEN - After seven years as head coach of the Weber State women's basketball program, Bethann Ord has accepted the head coach position at Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. Ord is a native of Rochester, New York.

"We want to thank Bethann for the work she has done in building our women's basketball program the last seven years," Weber State Director of Athletics Jerry Bovee said. "She is a New York native with strong ties to the area and we know she'll do a great job at Binghamton. We wish her nothing but success and thank her for her time at Weber State."

Ord has twice led the Wildcats to 20-win seasons, including a 21-11 record last season. The Wildcats also advanced to the second round of the Women's Basketball Invitational Tournament.

In 2015-16, Ord led Weber State to a school-record 23 wins and the runner-up in the WBI Tournament.

Prior to becoming head coach at Weber State, Ord was a Division I assistant coach for more than 20 years, including four seasons at the University of Louisville where she helped lead the Cardinals to the Sweet Sixteen three times, including the national title game in 2009.
