No. 11 Weber State hosts No. 22 South Dakota Saturday

THE GAME

• Two nationally-ranked teams will meet Saturday night as No. 11 Weber State hosts No. 22 South Dakota in the home opener for the Wildcats. 

• Saturday's game will kickoff at 6 p.m. from Stewart Stadium. 

• It will be televised throughout Utah on KJZZ TV with Dave Fox, Riley Jensen and Tony Parks calling the action. The game will also be streamed online for free on Pluto TV channel 235 and on WatchBigSky.com. 

• Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO radio and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal on the call. 

• Live stats will be at WeberStateSports.com. 

OPENING DRIVE 

• Weber State is coming off its first win of the season, a 24-17 win at Cal Poly Saturday. 

• The Wildcats are ranked 11th in the nation in the latest STATS FCS poll and are ranked 13th in the AFCA FCS Coaches poll.  

• South Dakota is also 1-1 on the year after opening the season with a loss at Kansas State and a win over Northern Colorado. 

• Weber State red shirt freshman Josh Davis was named the National Freshman of the Week after his performance in Saturday's win. 

• Head coach Jay Hill is in his fifth season as head coach of the Wildcats. He has a combined record of 27-24 in his career at Weber State. 

• Bob Nielson is in his third season as head coach at South Dakota and his 26th season as a college head coach. 

• The Coyotes are tied for first in the nation in turnover margin.  

• Saturday's game will be the annual Blackout Game with the first 3,000 fans receiving a free Blackout T-shirt. In addition, a groundbreaking for the new building at the north end of Stewart Stadium will take place at 5 p.m.  

• This will be just the third game ever in the series. The two teams tied in 1970 in Ogden and the Coyotes beat the Wildcats in double overtime in 2016 in Vermillion.
