Wildcats open Big Sky play Saturday

THE GAME

• Coming off a resounding win in the home opener, the Weber State football team is back home to start Big Sky play Saturday night hosting Northern Colorado.  

• Saturday's game will kickoff at 6 p.m. from Stewart Stadium. 

• The game will not be televised but it will be streamed online for free on Pluto TV 235 and on WatchBigSky.com. It will also be broadcast on 1430 KLO radio and kloradio.com 

• Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal will be on the call. 

• Live stats will be at WeberStateSports.com. 

OPENING DRIVE 

• Weber State is coming off a 27-10 win over No. 22 South Dakota Saturday night in the home opener at Stewart Stadium. 

• The Wildcats are now ranked in the top 10 in the country in both polls. WSU is seventh in the latest STATS FCS poll and eighth in the AFCA FCS Coaches poll.  

• Northern Colorado is 0-3 on the season, and coming off a 28-25 home loss to Sacramento State. 

• Weber State recorded eight sacks and forced three turnovers in Saturday's win. The Wildcats are tied for first in the nation in turnover margin at +8.  

• Weber State senior Landon Stice was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week.  

• Head coach Jay Hill is in his fifth season as head coach of the Wildcats. He has a combined record of 28-24 overall and is 20-12 in Big Sky games.  

• The Bears are coached by Earnest Collins Jr. who is in his eighth season at UNC. 

• Saturday will be Throwback Night as Weber State dons the flying W logo on the helmet and throwback jerseys. WSU will also honor the 1968 Wildcat team on the 50th anniversary of its Big Sky title. 

• The Wildcats have won 13 of their last 15 games at Stewart Stadium. 

• Weber State holds an 8-1 all-time lead in the series. The Wildcats are 4-1 in games against the Bears in Ogden and have also won the last two games in the series. 

• This is the first game between the two teams since 2015.
