Wildcat football back on the road at Cal Poly Saturday

THE GAME

• Weber State heads back on the road to take on Cal Poly Saturday night at Alex G. Spanos Stadium in San Luis Obispo, California. 

• Saturday's game will kickoff at 6 p.m. Pacific time (7 p.m. Mountain time). The game will be streamed on Pluto TV channel 244 and on WatchBigSky.com. 

• Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO radio and kloradio.com with Steve Klauke and former Wildcat head coach and athletic director Jerry Graybeal on the call. 

• Live stats will be at WeberStateSports.com. 

OPENING DRIVE 

• Weber State opened the season with a 41-10 loss at Utah Thursday night. 

• The Wildcats are ranked 10th in the nation in the latest STATS FCS poll and are ranked 13th in the AFCA FCS Coaches poll. 

• Cal Poly opened the season with a 49-3 loss at No. 1 North Dakota State Saturday.

• Weber State forced four turnovers in the game against Utah and did not turn the ball over. 

• The Wildcats have five players returning from last season that earned All-America honors last year and 10 players returning that earned Big Sky All-Conference honors. 

• Head coach Jay Hill returns for his fifth season as head coach of the Wildcats. He has a combined record of 26-24 in his career at Weber State. 

• Tim Walsh is in his 10th season as head coach at Cal Poly. He also spent 14 seasons as head coach at Portland State.  

• Weber State was picked to finish second in the Big Sky preseason polls. Cal Poly was picked to finish 10th in the coaches poll and 11th in the media poll. 

• Saturday's game will be a non-conference game between two Big Sky teams. The game will not count in the Big Sky standings.  

• This will be the 14th all-time meeting between the two teams. Weber State holds a 7-6 all-time lead over the Mustangs. The Wildcats have won the last two games, including a 17-3 win in San Luis Obispo last season.
