Davis granted waiver by NCAA; Eligible for 2019-20 season

The Weber State men's basketball program has announced that Khameron Davis has been granted a waiver by the NCAA and will be immediately eligible to compete for the Wildcats during the 2019-20 season. Davis transferred to Weber State this summer after playing two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh. He will have two years of eligibility at Weber State.Â

The NCAA granted Davis a waiver after considering the circumstances surrounding his transfer from Pittsburgh to Weber State.Â

"We are really excited that Khameron has been granted a waiver and will be allowed to compete this season," said WSU head coach Randy Rahe. "We certainly appreciate Pittsburgh for their assistance during the process and are grateful that the NCAA has come to this decision."

Davis is a 6-4 guard out of Denver, Colorado. He played in 58 games in his two seasons at Pitt, averaging 3.3 points per game. He started 23 games as a freshman where he averaged 4.0 points and 2.8 rebounds per game and shot 37 percent from 3-point range. He also had 36 steals and 21 blocks in his two seasons with the Panthers. Â

He attended Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, then attended prep school at Forest Trail Academy in North Carolina, before enrolling at Pitt.Â
