Weber State softball announces six new Wildcats

OGDEN – Weber State softball head coach Mary Kay Amicone is excited to announce the signing of six new Wildcats to National Letters of Intent for the 2020-21 season.
Makayla Donahoo
IF| Mesa, Ariz. | R/R | AZ Suncats Club Team | Red Mountain High School
Donahoo is an 5-8 infielder from Mesa, AZ. She played club ball with the AZ Suncats and was coached by Kirsten Voak. She is the daughter of Kristy Hunt & Michael Donahoo.
Head Coach MaryKay Amicone on Donahoo: "Mak is a very athletic player. She has grit and will do whatever the team needs her to do to be successful."
Aliya Harmon
Infielder | Wailuki, Hawaii | L/R | Maui Titans | Baldwin High School
Harmon is a 5-6 infielder from Wailuki, Hawaii. She throws right-handed and bats left. She played club ball for the Maui Titans. She is the daughter of Dennis & Michelle. She is set to graduate from Baldwin High School in the spring of 2020.
Head Coach MaryKay Amicone on Harmon: "Aliya is a very determined, athletic competitor. She has pitched throughout her high school career and plays great up the middle. She has a tremendous softball IQ and has experience all over the diamond."
Emily Ruhl
Infielder| Chin Hills, Calif | R/R | California Cruisers | Diamond Bar High School
Ruhl is a 5-6 third baseman who bats and throws right-handed. She played club ball for the California Cruisers. She is set to graduate from Diamond Bar High School and is the daughter of Phil & Erin.
Head Coach MaryKay Amicone on Ruhl: "Emily brings power and presence at the plate and has nice range at third base. She has played in very competitive situations and thrives on getting better all the time."
Madison Peterson
Pitcher| Grantsville, Utah | R/R | Mountain West | Grantsville High School
Peterson is a 5-7 right-handed pitcher from Grantsville, Utah. She is set to graduate from Grantsville High School. She played her club ball with the Mountain West club team. She is the daughter of Brandon & Laurie.
Head Coach MaryKay Amicone on Peterson: "Maddie is a competitor! She loves to work in the circle and will bring depth to our pitching staff. She has been a state champion and is looking forward to being a Wildcat."
Mia Rushton
Outfielder | San Diego, Calif. | L/L | EC Bullets | Rancho Bernardo High School
Rushton is a 5-6 outfielder from San Diego, Calif. She played her club ball with the EC Bullets CA and was coached by AJ Robinson. She is bats and throws left-handed. She is the daughter Isaac & Nichole.
Head Coach MaryKay Amicone on Rushton: "Mia is a feisty and exciting outfielder. She has very nice speed and covers a lot of territory in the outfield. She can ignite an offense and will be a base stealing threat."
Brooke Hatfield
Pitcher | Upland, Calif. | R/R |SoCal Coppers | Upland High School
Hatfield is a 5-9 right-handed pitcher from Upland, Calif. She played her club ball with the So Cal Coppers Chavez team. She is set to graduate from Upland High School this spring. She is the daughter of Rebecca & Robert.
Head Coach MaryKay Amicone on Hatfield:"Brooke is a big strong pitcher and will also help us offensively. She plays at a very high level and loves to compete."
