COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Weber State women's tennis took on Seattle University and Valparaiso this weekend, and earned 4-0 victories in both matches.

Match vs Seattle University

"We had a much better start today," said women's head coach, RuthAnn Allen. "We did a good job in doubles playing aggressive and making balls. We competed well and had good energy. We made productive adjustments from the previous match."

In doubles play, the Wildcat women found victories in each match. WSU duo Caitlin Herb and Ana Morett-Salas defeated Gianan and Lancaster 6-1 in the no. 1 spot. Yuuna Ukita and McKenna Lloyd found the 6-4 win in the no. 2 spot against Rassmussen and Bader. In the no. 3 spot, WSU duo Megan Lombardi and Cali Fuller earned the victory 6-3 against Seattle's Grossman and Rooke to give Weber State the doubles victory.

Because singles was played in clinch, Weber State earned the overall victory in just three singles matches. Caitlin Herb defeated Rassmussen 6-3, 6-0 in the no. 3 spot, Ana Morett-Salas beat Lancaster 6-2, 6-4 in the no. 4 spot, and Cali Fuller defeated Asanto 6-2, 6-1 in the no. 5 spot. With these wins, Weber State ended the match 4-0 against Seattle University.

Match vs Valparaiso

In the no. 3 spot, Cali Fuller and Megan Lombardi found the victory 6-1. McKenna Lloyd and Yuuna Ukita were up 5-2 in the no. 2 spot, but the match went unfinished. WSU earned the doubles point.

Caitlin Herb defeated Taganera in the no. 3 spot 6-4, 6-2. Ana Morett-Salas clinched the final point for Weber State in the no. 4 spot when she defeated Schoolcraft 6-2, 6-2.
