Hornets top Wildcats

Ogden, UT — The Sacramento State Hornets defeated the Weber State Wildcats 7-0 at the Edman Tennis Courts on the campus of Weber State University.
The Wildcats were swept in doubles play, falling 6-3 and 6-4 on Courts #2 and #3, respectively. The decision gave the Hornets a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
The Wildcats were also swept in singles play, falling in all six matches. Sydney Schnell was the only Wildcat able to force a third set before falling in that set 10-8.
The Wildcats will head back inside to the Ogden Athletic Club on Sunday when they will play host to the Montana State Bobcats. On Sunday, the 'Cats will honor Senior Cindy Li. Li has been a part of the program since 2022 and has accumulated 19 singles and four doubles wins in her career. She is a two-time Big Sky Champion and was apart of two of the most memorable teams in program history. The Bobcats head into Sunday at 7-8 with a 1-2 mark in conference play. The Wildcats' search for their first victory of the season will continue at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 30th.
