WSU's season ends with loss to Sacramento State

BOISE, Idaho - Weber State fell to Sacramento State 62-54 in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament Wednesday morning in Boise. 

Jerrick Harding scored 33 points to lead the Wildcats in his final game at Weber State. 

The Hornets jumped out to an early 14-4 lead before the Wildcats came back and cut it to three points. Sacramento State led again by 10 points with 3:33 to play when Weber State closed the half on a 6-0 run to give the Hornets a 30-26 lead at the break. 

Weber State took the lead for the first time early in the second half. The Hornets came back and took a seven-point lead at 51-44 with 4:25 to play. The Wildcats cut it to five with 2:25 to play but Sacramento State pulled away. 

The Hornets made 10 3-pointers, while the Wildcats were just 2 of 14 from 3-point range. SAC also outrebounded 36-32 and WSU committed 12 turnovers. 

Harding was 9 of 20 from the field and 12 of 14 from the free throw line to finish with 33 points, his 13th career game with 30 or more points. 

He ends his historic career as WSU's career leading scorer with 2,266 points, which is also third in Big Sky history. 

Michal Kozak added nine points and 11 rebounds. 

Weber State's season ends with a 12-20 overall record.
