OGDEN - After a season-opening road win, the Wildcats moved up in the national rankings to uncharted territory.

Weber State is ranked No. 2 in the nation in the Stats Perform FCS poll released Monday, the highest ranking in school history.

WSU received four first-place votes in the poll. The Wildcats are second only to James Madison who is number one in the poll, a vote by media members from across the country.

The Wildcats opened the season Saturday with a dominating 49-21 win at Idaho State. WSU totaled 638 yards of offense and freshman Bronson Barron threw for 312 yards and four touchdowns and was named the Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week.

The Wildcats have a bye this week with the next scheduled game on March 13 against UC Davis at Stewart Stadium.

Season and individual tickets for Wildcat football are on sale now at WeberStateSports.com or by calling the WSU Ticket Office at 801-626-8500. Seating will be limited to 5,000 people during the spring season.
