Strong performances at OSU High Performance meet

OGDEN - Weber State sent some of its top runners to the Oregon State High Performance Meet Friday and Saturday in Corvallis, Ore., and the Wildcats came away with several standout performances and all-time top 10 times.Â
Tracen Warnick finished third in the steeplechase invitational with a career best time of 8:43.74. That time is currently the seventh fastest in the NCAA this season. Bronson Winter was fourth in the race at 8:51.88.Â
In the 5,000 meter run invitational, Taylor Dillon had a career best time of 14:06.21, which is now the fourth fastest in Weber State history. It was also WSU's fastest 5K time in eight years. Christian Allen also cracked the top 10 in the 5,000 meters as he posted a time of 14:15.38, 10th best in WSU history.
Several other Wildcats performed well in the 5,000 meter run race, as Jacob Stone, Austin Byrer and Dallin Leatham all finished in the top five in that race.Â
The Wildcats have just one meet remaining before the Big Sky Championships. WSU will host the Weber State Twilight May 3-4 at Stewart Stadium.Â
Weber State will then host the conference championships May 12-15.Â
