Wildcats fall at Colorado State

Dillon Jones had his second double-double in two games with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State rolled to a 77-52 win over Weber State Monday night at the Moby Arena in Fort Collins.
Weber State shot just 34 percent from the field, compared to 54 percent for Colorado State. The Rams also made 11 3-pointers, while Weber State had 15 turnovers.
The Wildcats jumped out to a 9-8 lead with 13:23 to play in the first half but it was all Colorado State after that. The Rams closed the first half on a 26-6 run and took a 36-15 lead at the break. Weber State shot just 20 percent from the field in the first half.
Weber State was never closer than 17 points in the second half and the Rams led by as many as 29 points.
Dillon Jones led the Wildcats with another double-double as he finished with 20 points and had 14 rebounds. Jones was 7 of 12 from the field and also knocked down two 3-pointers, in addition to three assists and two steals.
Steven Verplancken added 11 points for the Wildcats. Daniel Rouzan had seven points and five rebounds and KJ Cunningham added six points with two 3-pointers.
The Wildcats are now 1-2 on the season. Weber State will next play three games at the Vegas 4 Tournament next week in Henderson, Nevada. WSU will take on UC Riverside, Abilene Christian and Wright State.
