Football home game kickoff times set for 2022 season

Weber State will have six home games with the first three beginning at 6 p.m. and the last three at 1 p.m. at Stewart Stadium.
OGDEN - Football is just around the corner and home game times have been set for the 2022 Weber State football season.Â
The Wildcats will have six regular season home games for just the second time in the last 13 years. This year's home schedule will feature three home games at night and three during the day.Â
The 'Cats will open the 2022 season on Thursday, September 1 with a home game against Western Oregon that will kickoff at 6 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. It will mark just the second time in the last nine years that Weber State will start the season at home.Â
WSU will also host Utah Tech on September 17 at 6 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. The Big Sky Conference home opener will be on October 8 at 6 p.m. against Eastern Washington, which will also be the annual Homecoming game at Weber State.Â
The Wildcats will host three-straight home games later in the season, that will all begin at 1 p.m. WSU will host Montana on October 29, Sacramento State on November 5, and Idaho State on November 12, which will mark the first time WSU will play three-straight home games during the regular season since 2006 and the first time with three-straight Big Sky games at home since 1989. Â
All home games and all Big Sky road games will be televised again this season on ESPN+. Other television information will be announced soon.Â
Weber State will face a non-conference game at Utah State on September 10. The 'Cats will play at UC Davis (Sept. 24), Portland State (Oct. 15), Montana State (Oct. 22), and Northern Arizona (Nov. 19) in Big Sky play.Â
Head coach Jay Hill returns for his ninth season as head coach at Weber State and is WSU's all-time leader in coaching wins with 58. He has led the Wildcats to four Big Sky titles and five appearances in the FCS Playoffs.Â
Weber State returns several starters and five players that earned All-Big Sky honors last season.Â
