Womens Cross Country set to run in the Big Sky Championships

10/26/2023 9:30:00 AM | Women's Cross Country

Weber State women's cross country is headed to the Big Sky Championships hosted in Missoula, Montana. The 'Cats are set to race a 5K at 11 am MT on October 27.
The meet will be streamed on ESPN +.

Among conference opponents, the Wildcats will compete against the No. 1 nationally ranked Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.

"For one thing, Northern Arizona is ranked number one in the NCAA and they will be really, really tough," head coach Paul Pilkington said. "We're hoping we will be in the mix, somewhere in the second, third or fourth place spot."

The starting lineup for the 'Cats will include Lydia Felix, Saga Hagelin, Jessica Hill, Frances Hudson, Hailey Low, Laurie Murphy, Trisha Thompson, and Bailey Winter.

Intense weather will likely run its course throughout the day with snow, rain, and temperatures around 23 degrees at the time of the race.

Following their trip to Montana, the Wildcats will hit the road for the NCAA Mountain Regionals in Lubbock, Texas on November 10.
