Weber State drops road game 72-62 at Utah State

Kendra Parra had a WSU career-high 22 points and Daryn Hickok added 15 points for the Wildcats.
LOGAN - Weber State rallied from an early deficit before a fourth quarter rally by Utah State gave the Aggies a 72-62 win over the Wildcats Friday night at the Smith Spectrum.
Utah State jumped out to a 26-11 lead after the first quarters the Aggies shot 71 percent from the field and held the Wildcats to 3 of 16 shooting. Weber State flipped things around in the second quarater as the 'Cats were 9 of 11 from the field in the quarter, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range. WSU outscored the Aggies 24-16 in the second half to cut the USU halftime lead to 42-35.
Weber State tied the game at 48-48 midway through the third quarter. The Aggies led a 53-57 lead heading into the fourth quarter
The Wildcats trailed by one point with 5:48 to play when Utah State went on a 12-2 run over the next five minutes to take a 10-point lead in the final minute and seal the win.
Utah State shot 58 percent from the field, compared to 36 percent shooting for the Wildcats. WSU was just 1 of 13 from the field in the fourth quarter. Both teams made eight 3-pointers and both teams were 14 of 18 from the free throw line.
Kendra Parra scored a season-high 22 points on 7 of 16 shooting. She also knocked down three 3-pointers and had three steals and two assists.
Daryn Hickok had a season-high 15 points with two 3-pointers. Laura Taylor added eight points with seven rebounds and two steals.
The Wildcats now head to San Diego for two games next weekend at The Dana Thanksgiving Classic Tournament. WSU will take on the host San Diego on Friday afternoon, then play either UNLV or UC Santa Barbara on Saturday.
