Wildcats Fall To Bears

Greeley, CO – The Weber State volleyball squad wrapped up its regular season play this Saturday night against the Northern Colorado Bears and dropped its match 1-3 (25-16, 21-25, 25-27, 19-25).
The Wildcats controlled the first set, with a 13-3 lead early on the Weber State squad held onto their momentum and ran away with a 25-16 set one victory. Into the second set, the lead bounced back and forth between both teams. However, the Bears seized control, and as the set winded down Northern Colorado wound up with the victory 25-21 and tied up the match 1-1.
With momentum on their side into the third set, the Bears pulled out to a 17-11 lead. The Wildcats battled back trailing by one point at 22-23. Not giving up, the 'Cats pushed the set past 25 but an attack error made by the Wildcats gave the 27-25 victory to the Bears.
Although the fourth set was close the results were the same and the Bears controlled the rally, pulling ahead by six points and closing out the match 25-19, 3-1.
