Wildcats return home and roll to 107-45 win

All 13 Wildcats that played scored in the win over Navajo Tech.

Weber State returned home and the Wildcats rolled to a 107-45 win over Navajo Tech Monday night at the Dee Events Center. 

WSU had four players score in double figures and all 13 Wildcats that played scored in the game. The 62-point win is the ninth largest margin of victory in school history. 

Weber State never trailed in the game as the 'Cats shot 51 percent from the field, and held Navajo Tech to 28 percent shooting. WSU made 15 3-pointers and outrebounded the Skyhawks 54-31. Weber State also had 21 assists and forced 20 Navajo Tech turnovers. 

Steven Verplancken led Weber State with a season-high 19 points. He was 6 of 9 from the field and tied his career-high with five 3-pointers. He also had six rebounds and three assists. 

Blaise Threatt had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. He also dished out seven assists and had four steals in 19 minutes of action. 

KJ Cunningham had a season-high 14 points and made a career-high four 3-pointers. And new Wildcat freshman Marko Sarenac also had a career-high 14 points. 

WSU standout Dillon Jones did not play in the game, due to turf toe. 

Navajo Tech is located in Crownpoint, New Mexico. The Skyhawks are members of the United States Small Colleges Association. 

Weber State has another week without a game before two games next week. The 'Cats will next play at Utah Valley on December 5, then host Cal Poly on December 9.
