Weber State plays matinee game at Oregon State Wednesday

Wildcats and Beavers will tipoff at 11 a.m. Pacific time (12 p.m. MT) in Corvallis, Oregon.

• Weber State women's basketball is back on the road for a matinee matchup with Oregon State Wednesday morning in Corvallis, Oregon.


• The Wildcats and Beavers will meet at 11 a.m. Pacific time (12 p.m. Mountain time) from Gill Coliseum in Corvallis. Oregon State is expecting over 7,000 students from area schools to be in attendance at the game. The game will be streamed live on the Oregon State Livestream. • Weber State is 0-6 on the season. The Wildcats are coming off two loss at the San Diego Thanksgiving Classic last weekend, falling at San Diego and to UC Santa Barbara.


• Weber State is one of seven schools in the country that has not played a home game yet this season. WSU is playing its first seven games away from home.


• Through the first six games, WSU has been led by senior Jadyn Matthews who is leading the team in scoring at 10.5 points per game and is second in rebounding at 4.7 per game. She is also first in field goal percentage. Matthews has played in 116 career games at Weber State and ranks fifth in career rebounding and is 16th in career scoring. She was fifth in the Big Sky Conference in rebounding and 11th in scoring last season.


• New Wildcat transfer Kendra Parra is second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game and leads the team in assists at 2.3 per game.


• WSU senior Daryn Hickok led the Wildcats with a season-high 17 points in WSU's last game against UC Santa Barbara. She also had 15 points at Utah State. Hickok is averaging 8.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game through six games. Last weekend, she also moved into eighth place on the Weber State career scoring list. She is also third in career free throws made. Hickok was named to the Big Sky Preseason All-Conference team prior to the year.


• Weber State is under the direction of first year head coach Jenteal Jackson who was named the seventh head coach in WSU history in April. A Utah native and former in-state college player, she came to Weber State after spending the last two seasons as head coach at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Prior to becoming head coach, she spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Westminster. She played college basketball at BYU and Westminster.


• The Wildcats return nine players off last year's team and added seven new players.


• Oregon State is 4-0 on the season, with four home wins. Head coach Scott Rueck can make history with a win on Wednesday to become OSU's all-time leader in victories.


• This is just the third ever meeting between the two schools with Oregon State holding a 2-0 series lead. The two teams met in 2009 in Corvallis and 2010 in Ogden.


• Wednesday's game will be the game of a seven game road stretch to start the season for the Wildcats. Weber State will finally play at the Dee Events Center next Wednesday, December 6 against Nevada.
