Four Wildcats earn Stats Perform All-America honors

Noah Atagi, Winston Reid, Maxwell Anderson, and Abraham Williams all were named to the All-America team.
Four Weber State football players have earned All-America honors.Â
Noah Atagi, Winston Reid, Maxwell Anderson, and Abraham Williams were all named to the 2023 Stats Perform FCS All-America Team, presented by FedEx Ground.Â
Atagi and Reid were named to the first team, Anderson to the second team, and Williams to the third team. All four also earned All-America honors last season.Â
With four All-Americans on the team, Weber State is tied for the most of any Big Sky Conference team.
This is the second straight season for All-America honors for Atagi. He was a unanimous selection for first-team All-Big Sky honors, earning the honor for the fourth time in his career. He became the fourth player in school history and the sixth in Big Sky history to earn first-team All-Big Sky honors four times.Â
Atagi was a team captain for the third straight year and started every game for the Wildcats over the last three seasons on the offensive line.Â
He played in 56 career games in his career at Weber State.Â
Reid also earned All-America honors for the second straight year. He led the Big Sky and ranks 10th in the nation in tackles at 10.7 per game. He is sixth in the nation in solo tackles and posted 68 solo tackles on the season, tied for the fifth-most in a season in Weber State history.Â
He was also fifth in the Big Sky in tackles for loss and had two force fumbles, an interception return for a touchdown, and six pass breakups.Â
Reid was named the National Player of the Week after the win over No. 4 Idaho where he had a career-high 17 tackles.Â
He finished his Wildcat career that began in 2017, playing in 46 caterer games and ranks second in school history in career solo tackles with 170.Â
He is tied for the career record in career forced fumbles with nine and had 281 career tackles with 28.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks.Â
Reid was also a team captain each of the last two seasons.Â
Maxwell Anderson is also earning All-America honors for the second straight year. He also first-team All-Big Sky honors and also served as a team captain. He finished third in the Big Sky in passes defended and had 10 pass breakups with two interceptions. He also had a forced fumble, two sacks, and 2.5 tackles for loss.Â
Abraham Williams is an All-American for the second straight year as he was named to the third team as a kick returner. He also earned first-team All-Big Sky honors. He finished the season ranked fifth in the country in kickoff return average at 29.7 yards per return. Williams had 10 returns for 1,433 yards and had a 100-yard kickoff return in the first game of the season.Â
He is Weber State's all-time leader in kickoff return average at 34.1 yards per return. He is the only player in NCAA Division I history with five 100-yard kickoff return touchdowns.Â
