POCATELLO - Weber State's Dillon Jones made a driving layup in the final seconds of double overtime to clinch a wild 72-71 win over Idaho State Saturday night at Reed Gym.

Weber State led by five at 46-41 with five minutes to play after a Junior Ballard 3-pointer, before six-straight ISU points gave the Bengals the lead with less than three minutes to play.

Idaho State led by two with 13 seconds left when Dillon Jones drove the lane and slammed it home to tie the game 52-52 and force WSU's first overtime of the season.

The Bengals scored the first four points of overtime. The Bengals led by three with 2:55 to play before a layup and free throw by Jones tied the game at 62.

After two ISU free throws, Ballard's driving layup tied the game 64-64 with 25 seconds left. The 'Cats stopped the Bengals on defense. Zahir Porter's desperation buzzer beater nearly went in, but it was on to a second overtime.

The 'Cats took an early lead in the second extra period after a Dyson Koehler tip-in dunk. Koehler had another tip-in dunk with 1:13 to play to give the 'Cats a 68-67 lead.

Two Jones free throws gave the 'Cats a 70-69 lead with 45 seconds left. ISU's Brayden Parker gave the Bengals a lead with nine seconds left when Jones went coast to coast for the game-winning layup.

Weber State shot 47 percent from the field, compared to 42 percent for Idaho State. ISU made nine 3-pointers, compared to six for the Wildcats.

WSU outrebounded the Bengals 33-30 and had seven steals.
